Kaap Plaas Semillon Sauvignon Blanc Western Cape - Crisp fruity white with the cut grass aromas of Sauvignon Blanc leading to lots of delicious full rounded tropical fruitiness on the palate.
Driven by Semillon, one of the Cape's longest planted varieties, this is a blend of 80% Semillon and 20% Sauvignon Blanc. The Grapes were harvested at 21°Balling and given 6 to 8 hours skin contact before fermentation. 30% of the Semillon was naturally fermented to add to the mouth feel. As the ripening season was very dry, they captured the freshness, typical cultivar characteristics and fruit intensity in this wine. The finished wine is kept on the lees to just prior bottling for added structure and texture.
