Chateau L'Ermitage Auzan Rose Costieres de Nimes
Le Guide Hachette Rosé edition 2019/2020 + Wine Enthusiast 90 Points
"Brilliant, almost translucent and slightly salmon in colour, this rosé evokes the red fruits on the nose. These fruit notes continue to the expressive, well balanced palate."
Delicious, modern southern French rosé packed full of flavour.
Chateau L'Ermitage Auzan Rose Costieres de Nimes - Brightly salmon pink with an explosion of fruit. It smells like raspberry and currants. This wine is very fruity, with a lot of roundness, a good length and a well balanced harmony of spices and fruits. A versatile rosé to drink on its own or with grilled fish, salads and spicy pasta.
Grapes are grown on 25 year old vines with yields of 50hl/ha. Rolled Durance pebbles (the Durance river flowed through the valley well before the Rhône) pepper the vineyards, retaining heat and ensuring even ripening. Grapes are cooled on reception prior to being destemmed and the free run juice is again cooled before fermentation at 18ºC. The wine is aged on its lees for 3 months.
