Chateau Fabre Gasparets Corbieres-Boutenac - Lovely aromas and flavours of cherry and black fruits infused with subtle, exotic spices. The finish is smooth and satisfying – an exceptionally fine and elegant wine.
From Corbières-Boutenac, one of the Languedoc's finest cru, this is a top class organic wine which shows the beautiful concentration of old vine Carignan with supporting roles played by Mourvedre and Syrah. Grapes are hand picked and maturation is for 12 months in French oak barrels.
The Fabre Family have been producing wine in one way or another for over four hundred years. In 1711, the family settled in Gasparets, near Narbonne, in the Aude department of France. Louis Fabre is head of the family concern, which now includes five estates.
Since 1991, Famille Fabre has been converted to organic viticulture and today 100% of its vineyards are certified organic, producing concentrated, flavoursome wines with genuine provenance.
