We all love a glass of wine or two, let's be honest! But...do we know our Pinot Noir from our Pinotage? What we have all experienced is the sheer pleasure and delight in uncorking a truly stunning wine. In my 20 years in the wine business I have experienced this feeling on many occasions, whilst sourcing and selecting wines from around the world. I have never lost that buzz of excitement on discovering a real gem!

AN 'ALL ABOUT WINE' TASTING EVENT IS THE ANSWER

For the past 5 years I have enjoyed hosting events, tasting and talking about wine with hundreds of societies and clubs, private functions and corporate events, and in people's own homes, in a fun and informal way. My style is relaxed and informal, with a mixture of quizzes, anecdotes and audience participation.

Your event can be as formal or informal as you like with the number of guests ranging from as few as 12 to over 100. We can tailor all events to meet your individual requirements. Prices depend on the number of tasters in the group, location, wines you would like to taste and prizes etc.

The format for a LARGE GROUP EVENT is generally a blind tasting of up to 7 different wines (1 rose 3 whites and 3 reds) with quiz questions based around these. Questions are all quite easy - no need to be a connoisseur! We split the audience into teams of 6-8 and there is usually a good amount of lively audience participation in a fun, relaxed but competitive atmosphere. The evening lasts about 2.5 hours including a break for around 15 minutes in the middle. All glasses and materials provided. Minimum number of guests is 40.

We also conduct SMALLER GROUP EVENTS in your home/garden, marquee, office or favourite pub or hotel. These can be as long or short as you like - a light-hearted wine-tasting journey around the world, a blind tasting quiz as outlined above or a more in-depth tasting on a specific region. We can tailor all tastings to meet your specific needs. Minimum number of guests 12.
