Domaine Mas Bahourat, Cabernet Sauvignon - This rich and soft Southern Rhone wine is so laced with the mintiness and blackberries so typical of Cabernet Sauvignon that the palate is almost scented too! With no trace of the sometimes typical Cabernet harshness, the rich smooth flavours have good depth and the well-ripened tannins give good length, making this Cabernet completely ready to drink. The Bahourat vineyards lie on a plateau near Nimes in the Southern Rhône and are immaculately tended by Patrick Bech. Yields are kept low and grapes are picked at total ripeness. The Domaine is abundant with apricot trees that surround the vineyards, and which, like the vines benefit from the terroir and climatic conditions of the region. |
