Nuits St Georges Premier Cru Clos des Perrieres Guy & Yvan Dufouleur - Sweet cherry fruit with hints of violets. This wine displays an attractive purity of complex fruit flavours combined with elegance and finely grained tannins. The Dufouleur family have been merchants since 1610, but it was only a year ago that the new generation represented by Yvan & Yann decided this year to start distributing the family estate wines. Yann sorts out the export markets; Yvan does the winemaking. The vineyards extend from Fixin to Santenay and include exclusive ownership of Fixin's"" Clos du Chapitre "" Premier Cru. Hand picked and sorted manually in the vineyards. Cold maceration for one week followed by traditional vinification. 12 months ageing in casks (one third new) |
