Marques de la Villa Malvasia - An appealing fresh white wine made from the characterful Spanish grape Malvasia. A fresh, plump, aromatic white. Lively citrus, tropical aromas and ripe peachy fruit offer immediate appeal. Whilst the full ripe peachy palate has crisp acidity and is technically dry the weight of fruit adds a sweeter edge. The rapidly emerging Toro region is best known for premium reds however, Covitoro, the region's foremost co-operative, excels with their small plantings of the Malvasia grape which produce an attractively fresh white similar to neighbouring Rueda. |
