Ancora Rosso Sangiovese di Puglia - This is a smooth medium-bodied wine made from the Sangiovese grape in the Salento peninsula in southern Puglia. A terrific everyday drinking red with aromas of red berry and damson fruit. Fresh and lively on the palate with juicy berry fruit and a hint of spiciness. Balanced by tangy acidity and soft ripe tannins. This is an easy-drinking wine that has not been aged in oak. Ideal with simple pasta tossed in butter and Parmesan or with tomato based sauces. |
