Sanvigilio Merlot - This is a smooth medium bodied Merlot, with typical soft, plummy fruit with a hint of spice. A wonderfully good-value red with bright fruit and easy supple tannins. Sanvigilio Merlot is produced in the hilly areas of the Vallagarina valleys in Venezie. The grapes are harvested when they are fully ripe towards the end of September and the wine is left to develop, first in stainless steel tanks and then in oak barrels. Ideal with a crusty tomato and mozzarella pizza. |
