Ginestet Classique Sauternes - Sauternes is the ultimate dessert wine. It has an aromatic nose with a touch of peach and apricot. On the palate it is sweet and concentrated with a fresh mouthfeel which is not cloying at all! Botrytis (noble rot) has been allowed to affect the wine, concentrating the sweetness and flavour. Serve chilled with a host of fruit or cream based desserts. Try also blue cheese such as Roquefort or Stilton. Or serve as the French also do, as an aperitif, or with pâté based canapés. |
