Champagne Deutz Rose Vintage - This vintage pink Champagne is the pinnacle of excellence, made from 100% Pinot Noir. It has a subtle nose of fresh strawberries, cherries and raspberries. The aromas are carried onto the elegant palate with added notes of pomegranate and gooseberry. Elegance and finesse!
Deutz is the epitome of understated excellence. Founded in 1838, the House is situated not in the conspicuously commercial centres of Reims or Epernay, but amongst the vineyards of one of the region's greatest villages: Aÿ-Champagne. This sums up Deutz's approach, in which style is always matched by substance.
80% of the grapes for this vintage Champagne are from the Montagne de Reims, with the remaining 20% sourced from the Marne Valley. All Deutz's vineyard sources lie within a twenty-mile radius of the House, ensuring the grapes arrive in pristine condition.
Deutz uses only the first pressings of juice (the cuvée) to maximise the quality of the finished wine; the remainder (the taille) is sold off to other producers. The rosé style is achieved by blending in nine percent of red wine from old vines on the hill of Aÿ. After four years ageing in the cellar, the various aromas are perfectly blended.
