Conde de Valdemar Rioja Crianza - This Rioja is classic in style with a well-deserved reputation for quality. Intense aromas of ripe fruit well integrated with attractive spicy nuances from the oak. On the palate it is fleshy and full of flavour, with excellent balance and a long finish. Bodegas Valdemar is that rare thing: a Rioja estate where all the grapes come from the family's own vineyards (400 hectares of them!), giving unrivalled control over the quality of the fruit at every level. Their Conde de Valdemar range comes from superior vineyard sites, and are given the traditional ageing in a mixture of French and American oak barrels, for at least six months. |
