Adria Montepulciano Collezione - This is a full-bodied red with a rounded silky texture and real length of flavour. On the palate the wine combines bramble and currant fruit with structure and an underlying savoury spice character. Produced from a single parcel of Montepulciano grapes, from a low yielding 50 year old vineyard in the Chieti province of Abruzzo. After fermentation the wine was transferred to Adria's cellars and matured in French oak barriques, 30% new, for 15 months. |
