Valpolicella Classico Montresor - This wine is really smooth and easy to drink. A medium bodied red with lively aromas of cherries, violets and almonds and a hint of the mossy/herbacious character typical of Valpolicella. Soft, velvety palate. Made from a blend of Corvina, Rondinella and Molinara grapes grown on Montresor's estate in Valpolicella. Drink with pasta in a tomato, olive and vegetable or meat sauce smothered in fresh parmesan. Valpolicella's slightly herby, mossy, semi sour and fruity character also works very well with salami and other dried and smoked meats. |
