Niel Joubert Pinotage - This Pinotage is medium-bodied and silky-textured with oodles of soft dark fruit and finely balanced tannins. Juicy plum and mulberry flavours abound. A classic example of this, South Africa's very own varietal, at its open-ended best. Surrounded by hundreds of indigenous species of fauna and flora, 60 kilometres from Cape Town. The family-owned winery is situated on the slopes of a spectacular ridge known as Ribbokskop, a name derived from the wild buck that inhabit the area, overlooking the Paarl Valley in the heart of the Cape Winelands. The vineyards extend over 300 hectares on the slopes of the Simonsberg mountains with a rotation policy that means 5% of the vineyards are replaced each year. £6.49 |
