Domaine Mas Bahourat Merlot - This is the one! If I take this wine to a tasting it always gets the thumbs up, it's immense.

Incredibly well balanced and easy to drink. Sumptuous red fruit, rippling with flavours of crushed morello cherries and crunchy fragrant minty dark chocolate!! Seriously good without being too serious!

Bahourat's vineyards lie on a plateau near Nîmes in the Southern Rhône and are immaculately tended by Patrick Bech. Yields are kept low and grapes are picked at total ripeness. The Domaine is abundant with apricot trees that surround the vineyards, and which, like the vines benefit from the terroir and climatic conditions of the region.

This is a perfect food wine enjoy with stews, cassoulets and cheese.
